Beginner Archery Courses
We run regular five week beginner archery courses throughout the year on Monday and Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. These courses are run during our regular club sessions at our great indoor venue in Archway North London.
About Your Course:
The courses are taught in small groups with a maximum of 6 people being taught, so that everyone gets plenty of one to one coaching as well as part of the group. The courses are designed for beginners, but are also suitable for those looking to come back to the sport after a period out. The Monday and Friday evening Courses start at either 6:15pm or 7:45pm, and the Sunday afternoon Courses start at either 1:15pm or 2:45pm. The sessions run for approx 60 minutes each week over five consecutive weeks.
The five week beginner archery courses cost £125 per person for 5 hours of tuition.
The Course covers:
The two main styles of recurve archery: Barebow and Olympic-style sighted. Over the five week course you will also learn about safety, archery etiquette, basic equipment knowledge, scoring, and shooting at the full indoor distance of 20 yards.
On completion of this course we hope that you will continue to shoot with us on Monday and Friday evenings, or Sunday afternoons. Although having done this course, you will also be eligible to join any other Archery club in the UK (Subject to their terms & conditions).
These courses are aimed at adults, although we can accomodate children aged 14 years upwards. Anyone under the age of 18 will require a parent of guardian to also book on to the course and shoot alongside them. For younger children aged 8 years old upwards, please take a look at our Children & Family Archery Club.
The price of the course includes all equipment, insurance, coaching, venue and at least 5 hours of tuition.
Places are limited on these courses and tend to fill up fast, so to avoid disappointment early booking via our website is recommended.
