Our Friday Have a Go Archery Lessons are relaxed and a lot of fun. These 60 minutes sessions are suitable for complete beginners. We keep groups small so that everyone gets plenty of shooting time.
We begin by equipping everyone, followed by a short safety briefing and a demonstration of the correct shooting technique. You'll learn to shoot safely and confidently during the lesson and after plenty of practice we'll finish off the session with a fun competition.
Please note that our Friday sessions are mainly aimed at adults. However, we welcome children aged 10 years old upwards when shooting alongside a parent or guardian who is also participating.
Venue
These sessions are run at our indoor venue in Archway North London: Caxton House Community Centre, 129 St.John's Way, Archway, N19 3RQ. Please double check which start time you have booked 6:15pm or 7:45pm and arrive 10 minutes before your session is due to start.
Gift Vouchers
Our Have a Go Archery Lessons can also be purchased as a gift voucher.
Anyone under the age of 18 will require a parent of guardian to shoot with them. For younger children please take a look at our Children & Family Archery Club

All payments are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation or no show with less than 7 days notice. Any amendments or cancellation with more than 7 days notice will also incur a 20% charge on the full cost of the booking. We reserve the right to cancel a session at any time, if this occurs for any reason we will of course notify you by email and offer a refund, transfer to another date or credit voucher at our discretion, no other costs will be considered. Unfortunately our costs for venue hire and coaches are the same whether you turn up or not. |

The Have A Go class was a superb first experience. Really excellent instructors, they give you confidence when you are way off target… and as an Absolute Beginner I soon began to feel at ease and LOVED this first session. I had wanted to take up archery for some time and now understand how addictive and inspiring it is… A magical feeling shooting for the first time… Superb class structure, clear guidance as to what not to do (as so much depends on posture and timing…) Great setting and safety, nice group and I’m SO looking forward to the Beginners Classes in October. Excellent work!

I always wanted to try archery and was pleasantly surprised to find a club in my area that had taster sessions. The instructor was wonderful calm and relax, the people very welcoming and friendly. Firing my first arrow and hitting the target was exhilarating! I felt that I had learned new skills like concentration, focus and relaxation which seems odd but true. It was enjoyable, relaxing and great fun. I would highly recommend it to anyone who asks. If you’re interested in archery and you don’t know where to begin I’d say the Experience Archery is a good place to start.

Great archery class, small group so we had chance to have many tries. Our instructor was great too explain everything so easily as we were new on that. Highly recommended. Good price
