Our Monday Have a Go archery lessons in London are relaxed and a lot of fun. These sessions are suitable for complete beginners, and we can cater for children and adults. The groups are kept fairly small so everyone gets plenty of shooting time!
Due to the current circumstances regarding the Corona virus we will now have two sessions on Monday afternoons at a great alternative outdoor venue, Home Farm Glamping in Elstree Borehamwood. The sessions will have limited numbers in each session and a maximum of 5 people being taught at a time. We also have a stringent cleaning regime in place before and after each session. With smaller groups we can maintain social distancing and still give everyone a fun experience of archery with plenty of shooting time. Each session will last approx 75 minutes.
We start by getting everyone equipped, giving a short safety briefing and a demonstration of the correct shooting technique. We then get you all shooting safely and confidently, and after plenty of practice we will teach you how to score, and finish off the session with a fun competition.
Please note our Monday have a go archery lessons are generally aimed a adults, although we can accommodate children with a minimum age of 10 years old.
Anyone under the age of 18 will require a parent of guardian to attend with them. For younger children please take a look at our Children & Family Archery Club
Our Beginner Courses
If you are looking for something more in depth than a one-off Have a Go lesson. Then we also run Beginners Archery Courses which will get you up to the required level to start shooting independently at the club. More info and booking here.
The governing body of archery in the UK is Archery GB.
