Tried the beginning 5 week course and it was better than i expected. Got to learn all the basics and shoot at the range at steadily increasing distances.
Learnt bare bow and target archery (using sights). It was barebow week 1 and half of 2, and with sights for the rest.

I always loved archery the few times I had a go as a child and recently found myself wanting to learn and progress in something I enjoyed. I’m so glad I found this beginners course!
We had a great instructor who gave context to what we were doing as a group as well as advice one on one. After trying 2 types of shooting styles I surprisingly settled for one I had no experience in and loved being able to adjust to the target as it moved further and further back each week.
Our group was encouraged to take photos of our arrows so here are my best goes from weeks 3, 4 and 5 🥰 I’m hoping to keep attending with some friendly teammates I met on the course

I organized my birthday celebration there and everything was lovely. The instructors were thorough and friendly. We has plenty of time to practice what we learned, as they helped us with useful tips and supervision. Overall they got us hooked and some of us are now keen to visit again!

Joe enjoys shooting a wide range of bows at his club in East London, including the English longbow, compound bow, and a horse bow. Each offers its own unique challenge and feel, but his true passion lies with the English longbow. He even makes his own arrows by hand, using traditional techniques that connect him to the long history of archery.
