Feedback from one of our Have a Go’s
“Last Sunday I had my first Archery lesson. At 67 years old it was the first time that I had held a bow. I found the whole experience stimulating and most enjoyable.”
Mr L Monty
“Have a Go at archery was not only a well-spent Sunday afternoon but a brilliantly guided insight into this amazingly fun discipline. The instructors Lee and Simon proved to be great at explaining the basics making it very clear and comprehensive for beginners in a relaxed and interesting way. Furthermore, the group was nice, friendly and even very positively competitive and in the mood for the “mini-tournament” at the end.”
Mr N Daul
“Thank you Lee for your hard work and patience during this evenings ‘Have a Go’. I had a great time and learnt a lot – wish I’d done this sooner! Archery is such a relaxing and interesting sport, with so much history. I would very much like to take it further and have now enrolled on the beginners course.”
Mr S Burnett

‘Have-a-Go’s’ are relaxed and a lot of fun. They are suitable for complete beginners, and we can cater for children and adults. The group is kept fairly small so everyone gets plenty of shooting time!
We start by getting everyone equipped, giving a short safety briefing and a demonstration of the correct shooting technique. We then get you all shooting safely and confidently, and after plenty of practice we will teach you how to score, and finish off the session with a friendly competition.
Please note these sessions are generally aimed a adults, although we can accommodate children with a minimum age of 12 years old. Anyone under the age of 18 will require a parent of guardian to attend with them. For younger children please take a look at our Children & Family Archery Club

Terms & Conditions/Cancellations
Please note we require 7 days notice to amend a booking for a have a go session at our venue, and while every effort will be made to accommodate you this cannot be guaranteed. All payments are non refundable in the event of a cancellation or no show with less than 7 days notice. Any cancellations outside of this period will also incur an admin fee to cover our costs. Mobile Have a Go’s at Your Event
We can also provide archery at multi-activity events/days; in schools, village or church fetes. Multi sport events, corporate days or weddings. Whatever the event we can provide an archery session. We will need a small section of the event area to cordon off so that archery can be practiced safely (all venues will be assessed for suitability before an event). Participants will have the opportunity to step up and have a go at shooting a few arrows before moving on to allow others to have a try – of course they are welcome to keep coming back if they get hooked!
We are happy to discuss any questions or requirements you may have.
